Can You Handle Difficult Conversations?

Could you confidently communicate with a colleague or team member about their:

  • poor performance?

  • persistent absence?

  • personal hygiene?

And what if they revealed they were struggling with their mental health, the menopause or even that they were having suicidal thoughts?

What if they didn’t say it, but you suspected they were?

Can You Handle It Now?

If you or others in your organisation are part of the 78% of managers who would rather do anything than have a conversation like that, then help is here.

So What? What Makes Me So Special?

Lots of people talk about Mental Health.

Many people talk about Menopause (and almost all of it is exclusively directed at women).

Some people talk about Suicide Ideation and Prevention.

Only one person is qualified to talk about ALL THREE with clarity, honesty, authenticity …

along with a healthy dose of humour, sarcasm and possibly* the occasional swear word!

*it’s highly likely that ‘possibly’ actually means ‘definitely’

Hello! I’m Andrea Newton and I’m on a mission to ban the bland when it comes to talking about traditionally taboo subjects.

I’m qualified to tutor and train in Mental Health, Menopause and Suicide Prevention and I am an expert at helping managers and leaders learn how to have confident conversations about a range of subjects from poor performance to life-saving interventions and everything in between.

I don’t believe in the ‘sandals and candles’ approach. When it comes to understanding how to tackle subjects generally considered ‘difficult’, I will give you pragmatic, practical and above all effective training solutions.

I am proud to have helped people from all walks of life become so much more confident in bringing up subjects they would have previously avoided. I have several examples of how my training has given someone the confidence to make an intervention in a potential suicide situation.

My passion comes from getting way-too-close to the edge myself – you can find out more about my story here.
