This year, Mental Health Awareness Week is asking us to take action.
Not just to be aware but to actually do something.
Action might look like this:
✅ Checking in with the colleague who’s gone quiet.
✅ Asking twice when someone says they’re ‘fine’.
✅ Being willing to say the word ‘suicide’ out loud, without flinching, because asking the question does not plant the idea. It can save a life.
In the UK, around 20 people die by suicide every day.
Most of them will have been in contact with someone who noticed something wasn’t right, but didn’t know what to do.
That’s the gap I work in.
I deliver suicide prevention training that gives people the skills to act, not just the awareness that they should. Practical, evidence-informed, and built for the real world.
Mental Health Awareness Week is four weeks away and if your organisation wants to take genuine action this May, let’s talk.
The gap between ‘being aware’ and ‘taking action’ is where we are losing people 💚
